McDonald’s Announces Spongebob Squarepants and One Piece Happy Meal Toys

McDonald’s has announced an upcoming Spongebob and One Piece crossover Happy Meal toys promotion. The new line of figures follows the company's Hello Kitty and Godzilla promotion and is scheduled to begin rolling out in the United States on September 15, 2026, indicating that the current promotion is expected to end on September 14, 2026.

The upcoming collection features 15 major and minor characters from the Nickelodeon cartoon dressed as famous figures from the anime and manga, complete with pirate ships. The line will launch in the United States, Australia, and Canada, though it will not appear in Japan. Alongside the toy release, an animated trailer from McDonald’s is promoting the collection.

The character pairings for the 15 figures include Spongebob Squarepants as both Monkey D. Luffy and Luffy’s Gear 5 form, Patrick Star as Roronoa Zoro, Squidward Tentacles as Sanji, Mr. Krabs as Jinbe, Sandy Cheeks as Nami, Plankton as Usopp, and Gary as Tony Tony Chopper. Additional pairings feature Pearl Krabs as Nico Robin, Larry the Lobster as Franky, Mrs. Puff as Charlotte “Big Mom” Linlin, The Flying Dutchman as Marshall D. Teach, Barnacle Boy as Koby, Mermaid Man as Monkey D. Garp, Smitty Werbenjägermanjensen as Brook, and Spongebob Squarepants as Monkey D. Luffy.
