Marvelous Shares Work-in-Progress Footage of Rune Factory 6 and New Story of Seasons Game

During a live stream celebrating the 20th anniversary of Rune Factory and the 30th anniversary of Story of Seasons, publisher Marvelous shared new footage of both franchises' upcoming titles. According to the announcements, both *Rune Factory 6* and the next untitled entry in the *Story of Seasons* farming sim series are currently in development.

While neither title has received an official release date or confirmed platforms, the work-in-progress footage was broadcast during the anniversary celebration and subsequently shared across social media channels, including YouTube and X (formerly Twitter). The *Rune Factory* franchise entry has been in development for some time, having been initially brought up back in 2023, and is confirmed to be the next main numbered sequel in the series. Meanwhile, the upcoming *Story of Seasons* game highlighted returning elements from *Bokujou no Monogatari*, showing an oceanfront town with a beach and dock, various crops such as lettuce, radishes, turnips, carrots, potatoes, and strawberries, cherry and orange trees, and livestock including alpacas, chickens, cows, and sheep.

Both franchises have seen various recent releases across multiple platforms over the past few years, including the *Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar* remake and the *Rune Factory* spin-off *Guardians of Azuma*, both of which launched across platforms such as the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. However, specific platform details and release schedules for *Rune Factory 6* and the new *Story of Seasons* project remain unspecified as development continues.
