Maneater 2 Officially Announced for a 2027 Release
Tripwire Interactive has announced Maneater 2 during a State of Play broadcast, lining up a 2027 release date with new environments and enemies.
Tripwire Interactive has officially announced a sequel to its popular shark-based action role-playing game, with Maneater 2 slated for a launch sometime in 2027. The announcement was made during a State of Play broadcast, though specific details about the upcoming title remain relatively limited due to the freshness of the reveal.
According to the initial announcement, players will once again step into the fins of a mutatable shark, with new environments designed for maximum havoc. Confirmed additions include a water park setting alongside a variety of new underwater enemies to battle, highlighted by a notably large crab.
Regarding platform availability, the PlayStation 5 has been officially confirmed as a launch platform for Maneater 2. While additional platforms have not yet been formally detailed by the developer, industry expectations suggest that releases on PC and Xbox Series X/S are likely on the cards given the trajectory of the franchise. Fans awaiting the sequel can check out the official announcement trailer or revisit coverage of the original game.
