Maingear has partnered with SellIt9 to launch a trade-in service that lets customers convert old tech into credit toward custom gaming PCs. The service goes live October 1, 2026.

Customers can trade in laptops, phones, tablets, smartwatches, headphones, cameras, lenses, and microphones. PC enthusiasts can also trade in components like graphics cards, RAM, and SSDs. SellIt9 provides an instant quote and gift card in minutes without requiring customers to ship devices first.

The service works by placing a temporary hold on the customer's payment card, which is released once SellIt9 appraises the gear. SellIt9 covers all shipping, appraisal, and customer support costs. Traded devices are refurbished, resold, donated, or responsibly recycled.

A SellIt9 trade-in link appears directly under prices on Maingear product pages, so buyers can check their old gear's value before completing a build. Every Maingear system is hand-built and tested at the company's Warren, New Jersey facility and includes lifetime tech support access.

For the service launch, Maingear is offering 5% additional credit on all trade-ins through October 14, 2026 with code EXTRA5.
