Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor DLC Expands Enzo’s Story and Valle Dorata
The upcoming Man of Honor expansion for Mafia: The Old Country introduces new story chapters, challenging missions, Salieri's warehouse hub, and expanded traversal opportunities.
Developer-focused details have emerged regarding the upcoming Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor expansion. Eschewing open-world bloat in favor of a tightly focused, linear crime drama, the base game followed Enzo Favara's rise through the ranks of the Torrisi crime family in Valle Dorata. The Man of Honor DLC builds upon these existing systems without completely reinventing them, introducing new characters, story chapters, and demanding missions designed to make Valle Dorata more interactive and worth revisiting.
Set in an earlier period of Enzo's journey, the new story chapters slot into the aftermath of his initiation, giving greater context to his evolution and relationship with the syndicate. A familiar figure also enters the fold: a young Ennio Salieri, carving out his own reputation under Don Torrisi long before establishing his empire in America. Salieri's warehouse functions as a new hub within the Free Ride post-release expansion, allowing players to collect assignments, accept challenges, and engage in a more structured progression loop rather than treating Free Ride as a simple post-campaign distraction.
The expansion introduces a variety of new challenges that expect players to have mastered the base game's focus on limited ammunition, stealth, and tactical combat. Traversal mechanics also receive expanded utility through new jobs handed out by Salieri. Instead of driving simply from point A to point B, players will utilize familiar and new vehicles to uncover hidden caches, discover routes, transport cargo, and tow valuable automobiles while dealing with rival gangs.
To assist with these demanding scenarios, Man of Honor brings new weapons and gear to the arsenal, including the Rimbalzu throwing knife capable of ricocheting between enemies for multiple silent takedowns. Progression and rewards are tied into existing systems, allowing players to earn Dinari by completing Salieri's jobs and challenges. This currency can be exchanged for exclusive outfits, weapons, mounts, and charms—such as the Dolce Morte charm—which introduce game-changing perks and encourage varied approaches to combat.
Finally, the expansion addresses the underutilization of Valle Dorata's landscape. Rather than increasing the map's overall size, Man of Honor fills the existing real estate with new locations, wanted posters, stunt jumps, sulfur truck objectives, and hidden collectibles, encouraging players to venture off the beaten path.
