LumenTale: Memories of Trey Sheds Switch Console Exclusivity and Heads to PS5

The Pokémon-inspired monster-taming RPG LumenTale: Memories of Trey is dropping its Nintendo Switch console exclusivity and is officially coming soon to the PS5.

The turn-based, Pokémon-inspired monster-taming role-playing game LumenTale: Memories of Trey is expanding beyond its initial platforms. Following a brief stint of Nintendo Switch console exclusivity after its launch on Switch and PC via Steam in May, the title is officially making the jump to the PlayStation 5.

Developed by Beehive Studios and published by Team17, the game follows protagonist Trey as he works to recover his memories while exploring the vast region of Talea, which serves as the home to creatures known as Animon. While critic reviews upon its initial release were somewhat mixed—including a 7/10 rating from Nintendo Life—the title remains regarded by many as one of the stronger modern monster-taming adventures available on the market.

Developer Beehive Studios and publisher Team17 have not yet announced a precise, full release date for the PlayStation version, simply stating that the game is "coming soon" to Sony's console. Alongside the PlayStation 5 announcement, promotional communications from the developers have also referenced an upcoming Xbox release window.
