Lost Host, a Toy Car 3D Platformer, Launches November 4, 2026

Lithuanian indie developer Gest.LT announced a Steam release date for Lost Host, a story-driven 3D puzzle platformer where players drive a toy car through a mysterious house searching for its missing owner.

Lithuanian indie developer Pasha Gesta, known as Gest.LT, announced that Lost Host will launch on Steam on November 4, 2026. The story-driven 3D puzzle platformer puts players in control of a toy car searching through a house and outdoor locations for its missing owner.

The game blends exploration, driving mechanics, and physics-based puzzle solving. Players encounter obstacles like dogs, vacuum cleaners, and sprinklers while navigating a world designed from a toy's perspective. Gest.LT drew inspiration from Re-Volt, the classic toy car racing game, and childhood experiences of creating scenarios with toys and building blocks.

"Lost Host is basically about that feeling and about our favorite toys," Gest.LT told 80 Level. "But when you look at the world through the eyes of a tiny toy, it isn't always so cozy. It can also be dark, mysterious, and even dangerous."

The developer spent considerable time refining the car's physics system to balance a playful, toy-like feel with realistic climbing and drifting mechanics. Beyond driving, Lost Host features physics-based interactions such as picking up, throwing, and pushing objects. Some darker moments include toy monsters inhabiting a fast-food restaurant, though Gest.LT emphasized the game remains primarily focused on exploration and driving rather than horror.

A demo is available now on Steam.
