Let It Die Transitions to Offline Play as Let It Die: Inferno Season 4 Changes Formula

The original online rogue-like Let It Die has shut down its servers and shifted to a paid offline mode, while its follow-up, Let It Die: Inferno, prepares for a major formula change in its fourth season.

The original online rogue-like title Let It Die—originally developed by Grasshopper Manufacture before the development team was spun off into Supertrick Games—has officially turned off its servers. As of September 1st, the formerly always-online, free-to-play game has entered a disconnected offline phase. Players wanting to continue climbing the Tower of Barbs now need to make a one-time purchase to access the offline mode. Paid currency, known as Death Metals, has been removed, and the economy has been reshuffled to handle transactions using earnable in-game kill coins. Players have until November 30th to purchase the Offline Patch DLC priced at $19.99 if they want to retrieve their save data for use in the offline version. The Offline Patch DLC is available on PC and PlayStation 4.

Meanwhile, Supertrick Games' current focus, Let It Die: Inferno, is shifting its formula as it kicks off its fourth season. Originally functioning as a PvEvP game, the title is switching to a PvE roguelite experience. Season 4 brings two new weapons, numerous new enemies, and over 21 new maps to randomly discover. Let It Die: Inferno is available on PC and PlayStation 5, with its Season 4 content slated to launch on September 8th, 2026.
