Leaked GTA5 Data Reveals Canceled Liberty City and Agent Trevor DLC
Rockstar data surfaced online contains source code, canceled singleplayer DLC files, and an early GTA6 map. The leak appears tied to the 2022 Lapsus hack.

A trove of data from Rockstar has circulated online, containing Grand Theft Auto 5's source code, remnants of cancelled singleplayer DLC, and an early version of GTA6's map that can be loaded into GTA5.
The data likely originated from the 2022 Lapsus hack that first revealed GTA6 to the world, though the exact timeline for its recent resurfacing remains unclear.
GTA YouTuber TJGM has documented findings from the leak, including evidence of a cancelled Liberty City expansion. Audio loading zone data from the leaked files creates an effective map showing a multi-island city that would have been larger with a different layout than its predecessor in GTA4.
Twitter user Affmal has shared more substantial findings focused on Agent Trevor files, including a full mission list and map data loaded into GTA5. Among the discoveries is an underwater base map design. Affmal has explored the leaked map and model data extensively.
TJGM also posted screenshots comparing an early GTA6 map from 2015 loaded into GTA5 with locations from GTA6's official trailers. The unfinished map shows marked areas including Alligator Farm, Coast Guard, and a Disused Theme Park, revealing significant differences between the early build and the final version.
GTA6 releases November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar has not announced a PC release date, though Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently acknowledged that "the PC platform is becoming more and more important."
