League of Legends Classic adds five champions in October update

Riot Games has confirmed the next set of champions coming to League of Legends Classic. The mode will receive Aatrox, Caitlyn, Irelia, Karma, and Quinn on October 7 with Patch 26.20, bringing classic versions of these champions to players who want to experience older iterations of the game.

This addition follows the Bilgewater set, which added Graves, Fizz, Nami, and Nautilus to Classic in Patch 26.19. Unlike the Bilgewater champions, the new five represent a mix-and-match selection rather than a themed set.

Aatrox returns as a melee fighter with his Blood Well mechanic, storing self-inflicted damage and gaining attack speed. His Dark Flight ability costs health to dash and slam enemies, while his Massacre ultimate draws in enemy blood for area damage and extended attack range.

Caitlyn joins as a ranged marksman with her signature Headshot passive, firing powerful shots every 8 to 6 attacks. Her Piltover Peacemaker rifle shot pierces through enemies, while her Yordle Snap Trap roots and reveals opponents. Her 90 Caliber Net provides both damage and mobility through knockback.

Irelia comes as a mobile fighter centered on her Ionian Fervor passive, which reduces crowd control duration based on nearby enemy champions. Bladesurge lets her dash to targets with cooldown refresh on kill, while Hiten Style toggles between healing and true damage on basic attacks. Her ultimate Transcendent Blades summons spirit blades that heal her based on damage dealt.

Karma and Quinn complete the roster, though full ability details were not provided in the confirmation. League of Legends Classic preserves earlier versions of champions, allowing players to experience how these characters functioned during different patches of the game's history.
