Capcom confirmed over the weekend that Khezu, one of the Flying Wyvern family's most distinctive monsters, will return in Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance. The creature has long been known among hunters for its unusual appearance and unsettling design.

Khezu's combat abilities remain as threatening as its appearance. The monster can generate and discharge lethal amounts of electricity in radial blasts and projectiles, which can paralyze prey and render hunters defenseless. It can also elongate its body to attack from varying distances, ensuring hunters face danger whether the creature is close or at range.

The monster's physical characteristics have become increasingly detailed with Capcom's advancing graphics technology. Khezu is constantly coated in glistening mucus, with a toothed orifice that releases corrosive drool. When enraged, the veins along its body become visibly pronounced.

Khezu reproduces by injecting paralyzed organisms with its larva, which feed off the infested host as they develop. Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is scheduled to launch in 2027, with wishlisting available now on Steam.
