Kena: Scars of Kosmora Delayed to 2027
Ember Lab has pushed its PS5 sequel into 2027 to expand scope and polish the experience beyond its acclaimed predecessor.

Ember Lab has announced a delay for Kena: Scars of Kosmora, the sequel to 2021's Kena: Bridge of Spirits. The PS5 and PC game was originally scheduled for 2025 but will now release in 2027.
In a blog post, the studio explained the decision: "Pushing our release into 2027 gives us the ability to really polish the expanded game experience we want to deliver." The developers said they need additional time to "deliver a top-notch game that exceeds the quality" of Bridge of Spirits.
Scars of Kosmora maintains the linear adventure structure of its predecessor but features a "broader and deeper scope," according to Ember Lab. The game follows Kena as a seasoned spirit guide arriving on the island of Kosmora to find a cure for her affliction and reconnect with someone from her past. A powerful corruption fractures her staff, forcing her to adopt new methods of manipulating elements.
Players will discover and nurture spirit companions whose powers unlock new elemental abilities for solving puzzles and defeating enemies. The studio expressed confidence in the expanded experience: "We've been working hard to fill it with the wonder, charm, and challenge fans have come to expect."
Scars of Kosmora has been confirmed for PS5 and PC. The original Bridge of Spirits launched on PS4, PS5, and PC before arriving on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in 2024, with a Switch 2 port following in March 2025.
