Keep Her Safe launches October 12 as extraction tower defense hybrid
Gugu Studio's comedic extraction shooter combines looting and wave defense with anthropomorphic animals fighting a zombie apocalypse. The game exits early access at $9.99 with a launch discount.

Keep Her Safe, a hybrid extraction shooter and tower defense game from Gugu Studio, launches into version 1.0 on October 12. The title blends the high-stakes looting mechanics of extraction games with wave defense gameplay, wrapping the combination in heavy satire and humor.
The premise centers on evolved animals banding together to defend against a human zombie apocalypse. Players control an anthropomorphic chicken and team up with other animal characters to build a base, scavenge for loot, and survive endless waves of zombies. Cooperative multiplayer, minigames, a day-night cycle, weather systems, crafting elements, and survival mechanics round out the core experience.
The 1.0 release will introduce 15 distinct boss characters, three new maps, and additional tower defense structures and tools. Gugu Studio expanded the game significantly during early access, adding new maps, minigames, and enemy-defeat mechanics before the full launch.
Keep Her Safe will cost $9.99 at launch, with an introductory discount available. For that price point, the game offers a substantial package: a thick loot pool, progression systems tied to survival length, and an intensifying challenge loop. The game's comedic tone and genre mashup position it as a satirical take on extraction shooters, drawing comparisons to titles like Escape from Tarkov but with greater emphasis on parody and tower defense strategy.
