JDM: Japanese Drift Master Bringing Online Multiplayer to Consoles Next Week
JDM: Japanese Drift Master is bringing its online multiplayer update to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 16, alongside an economy rebalance and a new car.

Following its PC rollout in July, the online multiplayer update for JDM: Japanese Drift Master is launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 16. Console lobbies will support up to eight players, featuring cross-platform support between PC and consoles. Players can explore the Japan-inspired open world, compete in traditional races, drift challenges, and head-to-head togue matches.
To celebrate the console launch, developer Gaming Factory is introducing two new race events, the Tofuna Downhill and Uphill, bringing the total number of events to 17. The update also implements an economy rebalance across all platforms. Money rewards are increasing by roughly 30 percent, and reputation experience points will double upon completing events to speed up car and tuning unlocks.
A surprise free vehicle is also joining the roster. The FSO Polonez, a Polish car previously described by Jeremy Clarkson as the worst car in the world to actually drive, is being added as a nod to the developer's heritage. Gaming Factory noted that while it is not a traditional JDM car, its cultural importance in Poland is comparable to the AE86 in Japan.
Looking ahead, the developer plans to release a livery editor for JDM: Japanese Drift Master, stating that the feature is rapidly nearing completion.
