iTero AI Coaching App Reaches One Million Downloads Following Giant X Growth
The AI-powered League of Legends coaching application iTero has surpassed one million downloads following its 2024 acquisition by LEC organization Giant X.

The iTero AI-powered coaching application developed by LEC organization Giant X has officially surpassed one million downloads. The milestone follows a period of rapid growth after the app was acquired in 2024 by the esports organization formerly known as XL Esports. Founder Jack Williams created the initial draft-prediction model after being banned from UK betting sites for winning too consistently on esports wagers. After failing to sell the tool to professional teams in 2020, Williams partnered with Overwolf to pivot the software toward average players in a consumer format.
The consumer version quickly gained traction due to high user retention rates. Following the 2024 acquisition by Giant X, the application experienced a sharp rise in adoption, doubling its total downloads and tripling active users over a span of two years. Williams noted that the integration with Giant X provided marketing support and valuable feedback from professional players and coaches, which further refined the AI model used by solo-queue players. In addition to consumer coaching features, the underlying statistical models function as an internal scouting tool for Giant X to identify rookies within the competitive landscape.
