Inzoi Director Announces Canvastown Multiplayer Roleplaying Mode
Inzoi director Hyungjin Kjun Kim has announced Canvastown, a new multiplayer roleplaying mode designed to let players inhabit a single character in an online space inspired by Ready Player One.

Inzoi director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim has announced a new multiplayer roleplaying mode called Canvastown. This side project is designed to give players a new way to experience the life simulation game by focusing on a single character rather than overseeing an entire household from a bird's-eye view. According to Kim, the main goal of Canvastown is to help players escape mundane daily life and experience extraordinary moments.
The mode introduces a dedicated online space called AR Company, which accommodates around 50 people who can converse and interact in the same channel under mutual consent. Non-player character Zois will also populate these spaces. Kim explained that players can act like movie directors by assigning roles and casting actors to create specific scenarios. Additionally, the mode will support script mods that could eventually introduce mini-games like car racing to the main game.
Kim cited the film Ready Player One as an inspiration for the experience, stating he wants players to be able to step away from reality and live out a different life. However, players will have to wait for the feature. Kim noted that the current build still has many lacking areas and a long way to go, emphasizing that Canvastown is strictly a side project while Inzoi Studio remains focused on its core goals.
