Injustice 3 In Development at NetherRealm, Stuntworker Resume Reveals Supergirl and Batwoman

NetherRealm Studios appears to be developing Injustice 3, according to evidence found on a stuntworker's resume. The motion capture performer listed "Injustice 3" after sessions for two characters: Supergirl and Batwoman.

Both characters carry weight in Injustice lore. Supergirl played a significant role in stopping Brainiac's invasion in Injustice 2. Batwoman's inclusion is more intriguing given her story arc in the Injustice comics, which tie into the overall fighting game narrative. The character died in the comics after sacrificing herself to activate a dimensional transporter for the Justice League heroes, seemingly incinerated by Superman's heat vision.

The last Injustice game released in 2017. Since then, NetherRealm completed the mainline Mortal Kombat universe with Mortal Kombat 11 in 2019, then soft-rebooted the franchise with Mortal Kombat 1 in 2023. Post-launch support for Mortal Kombat 1 ended in 2025 following the Khaos Reigns expansion. At that time, NetherRealm stated it needed to "shift focus" to its next game.

Injustice 3 has not been officially announced. A potential acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery by Paramount could also affect the game's development.
