Hytale founder offers $15,000 to first player to beat Gobliterator boss in October update

Hytale's Chapter 1 update arrives in early access on October 12, and studio founder Simon Collins-Laflamme is backing the launch with a $15,000 challenge.

The prize goes to the first streamer who defeats the Gobliterator boss in hard mode while meeting strict conditions: no armor, no potions, no glitches, and hardcore mode active. Iron weapons available in Exploration Mode are permitted. The attempt must be streamed so organizers can review the video-on-demand recording.

"I'll donate $15,000 to the first streamer who kills the Gobliterator boss in hard mode, no armor, no potion, no glitch, in hardcore mode (you can use iron weapons available in Exploration Mode)," Collins-Laflamme said on social media. "It must be streamed so we can watch the VOD; don't cheat, bro."

The Gobliterator is a towering goblin boss featured in a teaser trailer showing new Chapter 1 content, including underground cave environments with acid rivers and waterfalls. Collins-Laflamme stated he would release full terms and conditions before the update launches.

Additional rules clarified in social media comments require solo play in legitimate runs without creative mode access. Collins-Laflamme also responded to interested players without access to the game by offering to send them keys, demonstrating commitment to making the challenge accessible.
