Forward operating bases serve as valuable tools for securing towers and creating sneaky strongholds in Wardogs. Players can construct a FOB wherever they want on the map to control specific areas. While players frequently craft them at towers, they also prove useful in remote locations.

To acquire a FOB, players must visit the Equipment Vendor, navigate to the Items section, and open the Building tab. Purchasing a FOB costs $7,500 and takes up six inventory slots. Players cannot place a FOB down inside their headquarters, but all other locations are available. Once a suitable spot is located, players can equip the FOB and hold the primary action button, such as a left mouse click, until the deployment completes. Deploying a FOB marks a perimeter on the map, which defines the active zone where players can construct additional structures.

Each deployed FOB comes equipped with a starting inventory and a computer terminal. Approaching the computer and interacting with it allows players to view current supplies and inventory counts. The FOB supplies meter tracks building supplies, fuel supplies, ammo supplies, and mechanical supplies. Building supplies construct items like HESCO walls, barbed wire, concrete walls, and mortars. Fuel supplies refuel vehicles entering the base when a Refuel Station is built, while mechanical supplies repair vehicles when a Repair Station is present. Ammo supplies are consumed by defensive armaments such as the L81 Mortar, Vanguard CIWS, Stingray, and Talon 9K-SAM.

The FOB inventory also includes a small hammer, a medium hammer, bandages, M18 signal grenades, and wrenches. Choosing where to place a FOB is entirely up to the player, but a recommended strategy involves placing the first one at the tower closest to your headquarters to give your team a strong early stronghold.
