HOSHiN ENGi Re:surrection Announced for PC and Consoles with a 2027 Release Window
Shueisha Games and developer LASTWONDER have revealed HOSHiN ENGi Re:surrection, an action roguelite slated for release in 2027.
Shueisha Games and LASTWONDER have announced HOSHiN ENGi Re:surrection, an action roguelite based on the Hoshin Engi manga series by Ryu Fujisaki. The game is scheduled to launch in 2027 and is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. For fans of the franchise, this new title is set after the events of the original manga.
The source material for the adaptation ran from 1996 to 2000 and inspired two anime series. Based on the 16th-century Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods, the setting places players in ancient China during a dynastic collapse where immortals, demons, and mythic beasts wage a war that spills over into the human world.
Players step into the shoes of a brand new hero named Toshin who descends into rearranging dungeons. Combat features Paope, which are mythic treasures wielded by gods and immortals that slot together and evolve through upgrades. Toshin travels alongside a rideable spirit beast companion that fights by his side. Players can also bond with legendary characters who offer support in battle and provide opportunities to spar for rewards.
