Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6 launches September 28 with Pearl, new events, and Zenless Zone Zero collab confirmed

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6, titled "Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise," launches on September 28, 2026 across PC, PS5, iOS, and Android worldwide.

The update introduces Pearl, a new 5-star Ice character following the Path of Elation. Pearl serves as the CEO of Planarcadia and plays a central role in the version's main story. Players will investigate a conspiracy at the Life Sciences Institute involving Madam Yabuli's plan to "weaponize the husk" while uncovering the true identity of Nihilux as Aha, the Aeon of Elation.

In combat, Pearl can consume her "Certified Banger" ability to offset damage for all allies. She can also enter "Deep Learning" state to learn combat data from a designated teammate and gain Enhanced ATK. If that teammate follows the Elation path, Pearl's attacks deal additional Elation damage. When the entire team consists of Elation characters, that teammate gains an extra turn and receives bonus Punchline and "Certified Banger" charges.

Version 4.6 features limited-time character banners for Pearl and rerun banners for Evanescia in the first half, followed by Mortenax Blade in the second half. The limited 5-star Light Cone "Colors for Tomorrow" will also have boosted drop rates.

New events include "Love, Ghosts & Robots," where players help the resurrected Skott run a mechatron workshop, and "Interastral Peace Gala: One Take," a combat reality show event. The "Astral Imagea" gameplay system debuts, allowing players to obtain companions for adventures and tackle the "Astral Slammers Squad" challenge cooperatively.

Existing characters Hyacine and Evanescia receive new outfits: "Warm Cotton Skies" and "Lunar Blossoming" respectively.

The long-awaited Zenless Zone Zero collaboration has been officially confirmed. Ellen and Astra Yao from Zenless Zone Zero will arrive as playable characters in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.8, expected around December 23, 2026.

HoYoverse also announced a collaboration with peripheral manufacturer Razer, featuring gaming peripherals themed around Silver Wolf. A Silver Wolf LV.999-themed gaming chair, keyboard, mouse, and headset will release simultaneously across multiple regions, with further details coming soon.
