Helldivers 2 Adds TD-110 Maelstrom Tank and Ironclad Democracy Warbond

Arrowhead Game Studios has released a new trailer for Helldivers 2 revealing the TD-110 Maelstrom tank, a new vehicle coming to the co-op shooter. The trailer presents the tank as an in-universe advertisement for X-UDE, with a narrator describing its features: "Here at X-UDE, we have but one dream: healthy profit margins and personal defense for all. Because every Super Earth citizen has the right to defend their family, without sacrificing the comforts Managed Democracy affords. That's why we're working with the Helldivers to secure the resources we need to make that dream a reality. Together, we can bring personal defense home. X-UDE. A tank in every driveway. Luxury in every detail."

The tank arrives as part of a broader update addressing community feedback. Enemies no longer target unoccupied vehicles, and career stats now better track kills across mines, vehicles, drones, and backpacks. Arctic planet issues have been fixed, and enemy spawns are now more balanced when Helldivers separate during missions. The Evacuate High-Value Assets missions received adjustments, along with general balance changes across multiple weapons.

Level design improvements include more randomized loot locations and weapons, new random groupings for ammo, health kits, grenades, and weapons, and 10 additional common samples available throughout levels. The update also introduces the Ironclad Democracy Premium Warbond, featuring new weapons and gear. Primary weapons include the AR-11 Arbitrator assault rifle and GL-15 Evictor shotgun. Secondary options include the P-34 Breacher pistol, while throwables consist of the G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker and G-8 Immolation. New armor sets, the BFM-16 Tanker light armor and BFM-220 Ironclad heavy armor, both feature the Blunt-Force Mitigation passive, reducing knockback effects and impact damage by 30 percent while increasing armor rating.

The Warbond includes two new boosters: Surplus EAT Allocation provides two free uses of the Expendable Anti-Tank Strategem per mission, while Integrated Extinguishers reduces flame extinguishing time. Cosmetics feature two new capes, a Helmet Durability Check emote, exclusive player cards, the Treadhead title, and three tank camouflage patterns: Verdant, Glacial polymer, and Executive onyx.

Helldivers 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
