Helldivers 2 Joins PlayStation Plus Game Catalog with Devoid of Liberty Update

Helldivers 2 has joined the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, making it accessible to PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe members. This addition comes alongside the game's Devoid of Liberty update, which introduces a new frontier for players to explore: the Void.

The Void presents a unique challenge, with High Command ordering reconnaissance missions to gather intel and give players an advantage. The planets within the Void's reach have been altered by strange mutations, with changes becoming more significant closer to the Void itself.

New missions are available, including destroying Illuminate spires and gateways, completing data reconnaissance, and infiltrating Illuminate structures. Secondary objectives include eradicating Void mutations, extracting materials for research, and opening a secondary extraction zone for faster squad evacuation.

Players will encounter new, mutated organisms emerging from the heart of the Void, such as the nimble Wretch and the relentless Crusher. To aid in operations, SEAF platoons have been commissioned, arriving on dropships to fight alongside players and offer medical support and morale boosts.

The Devoid of Liberty update also allows players to gain all 300 ranks of security access and privileges, along with new rank titles.
