Hawker Beechcraft 800XP Business Jet Coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

FlightFX has announced the Hawker Beechcraft 800XP as its next business jet addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The aircraft will be available on MSFS 2024's official in-sim marketplace, with specific platform availability and pricing to be announced at release.

The addon features extensive system simulation across multiple aircraft systems. The pneumatic and pressurization systems include custom physics-based climate control with real-time air-cycle-machine valve movement and dual outflow valves for both manual and automatic pressurization modes. An EFB provides real-time visualization of airflow and valve positions with color-coded temperature feedback.

The electrical system models the complete aircraft architecture with every component tied to the correct bus, simulating nine power-source configurations. The system includes AC-bus and triple-inverter simulation with automatic switching, plus six backup batteries for emergency systems. A live EFB visualization displays buses, contactors, voltages, and color-coded power paths.

Engine simulation includes a custom Digital Electronic Engine Control (DEEC) for the TFE731-5BR turbofan with fuel consumption calibrated to real-world tables. The addon features custom thrust-reverser logic with single-reverser taxi operation capability, an Automatic Power Reserve system, and optional autothrottle fully coupled to VNAV. Engine synchronization can be based on N1 or N2, and engine performance degrades realistically with accumulated engine hours.

Additional systems feature comprehensive fuel management with transfer and balancing controls, hydraulic-pressure simulation affecting landing gear and flaps, and a custom ice-protection system with consumable TKS anti-ice fluid. Avionics build on Working Title's PL21 with aircraft-specific customization, custom FMC pages including thrust-limit and engine/fuel-data displays, and integrated normal, abnormal, and emergency checklists.

The flight model is data-driven and calibrated to documented performance tables. The addon includes a custom stick-shaker and stick-pusher, wing-flex simulation, and a six-axis inertial immersion system simulating turbulence, windshear, stall buffet, and high-G maneuvers. Audio was recorded on-site and produced by Boris Audio Works. The Electronic Flight Bag includes Navigraph chart integration with SimLink, LIDO charts through Microsoft Flight Simulator, SimBrief flight-plan synchronization, weight-and-balance management, and an advanced in-flight map based on OpenStreetMap. An optional cabin display called FlightFX Enroute provides real-time route tracking and flight progress information.

The addon supports total persistence, storing over 1,300 parameters on a per-airframe basis including switch positions, fuel quantity, hydraulic-fluid level, and per-engine Hobbs time across flights.
