Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories Gets Unofficial PC Port
PC gamers can now play the PlayStation exclusive without emulation. The unofficial port is based on the PSP version and requires a ROM file to run.

An unofficial PC port of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories has been released, giving PC players access to a game that has never officially launched on the platform.
Liberty City Stories originally shipped on PlayStation 2 and PSP but never received an official PC release. Previously, PC gamers could experience the game through Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories PC Edition, a mod that brought the missions and content into Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. That mod is no longer available on ModDB.
The new port is based on the PSP version of the game rather than the enhanced PS2 edition. Like other PC recompilations of console games, it requires users to provide their own ROM file to run. The port supports keyboard and mouse controls from the start, though it is unclear whether the UI displays proper keyboard and mouse prompts.
In Liberty City Stories, players take on the role of Toni Cipriani, a member of the Leone crime family. The game is set in Liberty City a few years before the events of the original Grand Theft Auto III. The open world includes driving, shooting, missions, and side activities, while maintaining the dark and gritty atmosphere that defined GTA III with additional areas and gameplay features.
The unofficial PC port community has grown significantly in recent months, with developers releasing ports of classic games across multiple platforms. Recent projects include ports of Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Crash Team Racing, The Legend of Zelda titles, and numerous other console exclusives.
