Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature an advanced weather system, ending months of speculation within the gaming community. According to reporting, the new system is designed to replicate Florida's weather patterns and bring greater detail to the game world of Leonida.

The weather system represents a significant departure from earlier GTA titles, where weather functioned primarily as a cosmetic change with minimal impact on gameplay mechanics or story progression. With GTA 6's implementation, weather is expected to influence various aspects of the game, particularly affecting game physics and potentially storyline elements.

Rockstar has not disclosed specific details about how the advanced weather system will be integrated into gameplay or the extent of its mechanical influence. The confirmation adds to the studio's broader effort to create a highly detailed open world, with attention paid to wildlife, foliage, and environmental elements designed to maximize realism.

GTA 6 is scheduled to release on November 19th. Rockstar continues to keep most advanced features under wraps ahead of launch.
