PC Gamer Tests GTA 5 Mod That Teleports Player Every 50 Seconds
A PC Gamer writer installed the Random Teleport Challenge mod for Grand Theft Auto 5, which forcibly moves the player to one of 28 map locations without warning every 50 seconds.

A PC Gamer writer has been exploring extreme mods for Grand Theft Auto 5, most recently installing the Random Teleport Challenge. The mod teleports the player to one of 28 scattered locations across Los Santos every 50 seconds without providing a list of possible destinations.
The writer describes the experience as disruptive and confusing, comparing the constant spatial displacement to the premise of the television series Quantum Leap. Planning any activity becomes nearly impossible when relocation happens at fixed intervals.
The experiment is part of an ongoing series where the writer modifies GTA 5 daily, either to recreate features from Grand Theft Auto 6 or deliberately break the game. Previous modifications have included removing gravity and other gameplay alterations.
The Random Teleport Challenge mod highlights how community-created modifications can fundamentally transform GTA 5's gameplay experience, though the writer notes the constant teleportation makes it difficult to properly test other mods without first disabling this one through configuration file edits.
