GTA 5 Modding Experiment Removes Car Friction and Sets Unstoppable Momentum for NPC Vehicles
A recent GTA 5 modding experiment used the Enhanced Native Trainer to turn off car friction and set constant, unstoppable momentum on all NPC vehicles.
A recent modding experiment in Grand Theft Auto 5 has transformed Los Santos into an airborne city of chaotic movement. Utilizing the Enhanced Native Trainer, a player modified the game to remove car friction entirely while applying a constant and unstoppable momentum to every NPC vehicle.
Instead of installing brand-new software, the experiment made use of existing trainer tools originally set up to spawn an anti-air trailer. By tweaking the game's settings, vehicles were freed from their normal ground obligations, causing them to waft lazily through the air or gyrate on the skyline. While an initial setting pushed every car to a maximum speed of 100 and made the game functionally unplayable, the speed setting was later reduced to 15. This adjustment maintained the chaotic nature of the experiment while allowing players a fighting chance to navigate the streets.
The ongoing daily modding quest aims to either transform Grand Theft Auto 5 into a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 6 or break the game entirely using tools like the Enhanced Native Trainer.
