GTA 5 Mod Adds Building Interiors But Deletes Most of the Map's Exterior
A newly installed mod for Grand Theft Auto 5 successfully adds inhabitable business interiors, but unexpectedly deletes a significant portion of the outside world.
A custom modification installed for Grand Theft Auto 5, titled Open World Interiors, aims to furnish various businesses within Los Santos with actual, inhabitable inside zones. According to the modification's pitch, locations such as restaurants, hospitals, and gyms are supposed to unfurl as new territory to explore.
In practice, however, installing the mod introduces severe technical anomalies. Stepping outside of Franklin's Beverly Hills house reveals that a significant chunk of Los Santos has been inexplicably deleted. Certain elements do function as intended; players can enter fast-food joints to encounter NPCs sitting in silence while one of the game's radio stations plays in the background.
Other areas remain heavily broken. Attempting to enter the modded gym causes the player character to plummet into a fathomless void at the center of the game world while the radio continues to play. After falling for an extended duration, the character reappears safely in front of the gym's doors.
