Genesis is launching the Genesis Magma Racing Esports Series within Le Mans Ultimate, with qualifying races starting October 6, 2026. One winner will secure a full-time contract as a GMR Esports Driver for the 2027 season, with a potential real-world Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Programme opportunity also under consideration.

The competition runs across two phases. Qualifying races use Le Mans Ultimate's online championships mode, typically restricted to RaceControl Pro or Pro+ subscribers. Following a recent game update, the qualifying phase is now free to all entrants with no premium DLC required.

Qualifying spans eight weeks with one race per week from October 6 through December 1. Drivers can attempt each race up to three times, with their two worst weekly results dropped. The eight qualifying weeks visit Sebring, Fuji, Monza, Bahrain, Portimão, Bahrain Alt, Spa-Francorchamps, and Le Mans.

The championship-deciding finals follow in December, featuring four races: two 45-minute sprints on December 11 and 12, another 45-minute sprint on December 18, and a 120-minute endurance race on December 19. The top 30 drivers advance to the finals, split between 20 global and 10 Korean competitors. Finals races will be broadcast live on Traxion.GG and Genesis Magma Racing channels.

Genesis entered the real-world FIA World Endurance Championship this season with its GMR-001, a V8-powered Hypercar. The car was added free to Le Mans Ultimate before the season began. The esports series extends this partnership by identifying rising virtual racing talent.

Sim racers can register through Traxion's dedicated event hub, which will be updated with full prize details and additional information. The full prize list has not yet been announced.
