Gears of War: E-Day Preload Starts September 29, Requires 115GB on PC
The long-awaited Gears of War: E-Day arrives in October with specific preload windows and hefty storage demands. Players purchasing premium editions get early access on October 1.

Gears of War: E-Day will launch in October after several years without a new mainline entry in the series. Players interested in day-one access can prepare now with preload options and specific timing windows across regions.
Preloading begins September 29 at 11 AM ET (4 PM BST, 5 PM CEST, 3 PM UTC, 5 PM SAST, 1 AM AEST on September 30). The game requires substantial storage: 115GB on PC and similar capacity on Xbox Series X|S. A solid-state drive is mandatory for PC installation. This represents a significant increase from Gears 5, which required 80GB at launch in 2019.
Premium and Collector's Edition purchasers receive five-day early access starting October 1 at 11 AM ET (4 PM BST, 5 PM CEST, 3 PM UTC, 5 PM SAST, 1 AM AEST on October 2). Standard edition players will access the game on October 6. Players should ensure they have at least 100GB of free space available before preload begins.
