Molleindustria's open-world satirical comedy, Future? No Thanks!, remains restricted and invisible to a wide swathe of Steam users due to content classification hurdles. The ecosocialist comedy follows a grumpy protagonist navigating a left-wing paradise while attempting to finish a bucket list before applying for state-supplied euthanasia. Following a strong demo, the indie title faced a last-minute delay over mild nudity and racey encounters, with creator Paolo Pedercini—known as Molleindustria—stating that content moderators previously requested a build featuring a 'skip to sex scene' button.

Despite the developer completely removing the associated sex quest from the game, Future? No Thanks! continues to be misclassified by Steam as pornography. Pedercini noted via social media that the title holds official age ratings of USK 16 in Germany, ESRB 12, and PEGI 12. However, the current Steam rating subjects the store page to regional age-verification walls under the UK's Online Safety Act and renders the game completely geo-locked in Germany, making it invisible to most standard users.

The situation drew widespread attention at Gamescom in Cologne, where Pedercini highlighted the surreal contrast of presenting the title at a government-sponsored booth. The developer shared images of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier posing in front of the exhibition booth, pointing out the irony of a state-backed project being flagged as too explicit for the country by digital storefront filters. Describing the process as a frustrating hurdle, Pedercini publicly appealed for direct contacts at Valve to clarify the administrative status of the game's storefront visibility.
