Tactical RPG Frosthaven Unveils Gameplay Trailer Ahead of October 15 Release

Arc Games and Snapshot Games have released a new gameplay trailer for Frosthaven. The two-minute video highlights strategic choices and gameplay elements ahead of the full release of the tactical role-playing game on October 15, 2026. Designed as an evolution of the board game experience created by Isaac Childres, Frosthaven functions as a spiritual successor to Gloomhaven.

Set in the depths of the Biting Sea, the dark fantasy tactical role-playing game challenges solo players or groups in a cooperative multiplayer mode. An ancient artifact has begun sending visions of unrest, requiring heroes to venture above and below the icy waters to secure it. Snapshot Games developed the digital adaptation, which is currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Upon its 1.0 launch, Frosthaven will feature a complete story campaign that includes the final chapter from the tabletop board game. Players will have access to all 17 unique heroes, with the final hero joining the roster at launch. The game also introduces a digital-only onboarding system called Road to Frosthaven, designed to help players learn complex mechanics through tutorials and user interface displays.

Additional features for the full release include an opening cinematic, hero unlock videos, enhanced cooperative multiplayer systems, customizable house rules, and a fully implemented codex for exploring game lore without manual note-taking. New adventurers can also try a standalone demo experience through the Road to Frosthaven campaign before purchasing the title.
