Fragmentary Order Receives First Gameplay Teaser Ahead of September Deep Dive

A brief look at the in-engine gameplay of Nikita Buyanov's upcoming sci-fi shooter Fragmentary Order has been revealed.

Rant Gaming has released a gameplay teaser for its upcoming sci-fi shooter, Fragmentary Order. The footage was unveiled during an NVIDIA showcase, offering the public its first glimpse at the game's in-engine gameplay. Developed in partnership with NVIDIA, the title is being built using Unreal Engine 5.

The project is led by Nikita Buyanov, the head of studio at Battlestate Games and Rant Gaming. While Buyanov continues his work on Escape from Tarkov, he is balancing his time to manage the development of Fragmentary Order. Buyanov has described the new title as the most challenging project he has ever worked on, noting that its scope goes leagues beyond that of Escape from Tarkov.

Set in a near-future universe that heads to the stars, Fragmentary Order is described as an immersive, highly detailed, and punishing first-person shooter. While some community members have referred to the project as "Space Tarkov," the developers intend for it to go beyond that comparison, noting that the title is not strictly an extraction shooter. The game features expansive environments, including an enormous "Blue Mars" map.

According to the development team, a full gameplay deep dive is scheduled to be released later in September 2026. This upcoming showcase will provide a more detailed look at the mechanics and world of the sci-fi shooter.
