Fortnite's annual Fortnitemares Halloween event is set to arrive soon, though Epic Games has not officially announced the exact dates. Based on the game's established two-week update cycle, the event is expected to begin on October 1.

The timing aligns with Fortnite's regular update schedule. The next major update after the current period is scheduled for October 1, followed by another on October 15. This pattern has made October 1 a likely candidate for the event's launch date.

Historically, Fortnitemares has shifted earlier over recent years. Last year's event began on October 9, while 2024's event launched on October 12. Earlier iterations of the event had later release dates, but recent editions have been extended in duration.

The event is expected to run through the end of the current season on November 1. That date marks the arrival of an anticipated One Piece-themed mini-season, which will conclude Chapter 7 before a new chapter launches in December.

Last year's Fortnitemares followed a similar structure, running from October 9 until the season ended, followed by The Simpsons mini-season. Fortnitemares typically brings new collaborations, weapons, points of interest, and seasonal content to the battle royale.
