Fortnite Features Uprising Movie-Tie-In Mode Built Within The Game

A new custom game mode based on the medieval drama film The Uprising has arrived inside Fortnite, allowing players to choose between the Kingsmen and Rebels.

Epic Games' battle royale title Fortnite is playing host to a unique promotional campaign for the medieval drama film, The Uprising. The movie, which depicts Andrew Garfield as a peasant man leading a 12th-century rebellion against English nobility, was rebranded as a Robin Hood story in America due to low interest. The promotional push now includes a custom game built directly within Fortnite.

In the Fortnite x Uprising experience, participants can play as either the Kingsmen or the Rebels. Players must level up, gather resources, fight past enemy fortifications, and ultimately storm or defend a castle to claim the loot located at its center. Promotional materials note that the game mode is not officially sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Epic Games.

Alongside this medieval movie tie-in, several other events and updates surround the broader Fortnite universe. Sonic the Hedgehog is set to visit Fortnite as part of an upcoming season kickoff confirmed by Sega and Epic Games. Additionally, DC favorites such as Batman, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy have received summer-themed outfits, while pop star Olivia Rodrigo makes her debut appearance in the game.
