Fortnite Star Wars: Droid Tycoon Introduces New Droid Fusion Mechanic and Crafting Recipes

Players of Star Wars: Droid Tycoon inside Fortnite can now experience a brand-new Droid Fusion mechanic. Released as part of Epic Games' ongoing partnership with Disney, the popular mode tasks players with collecting iconic Star Wars droids and putting them to work. The latest update adds even more depth to the experience, including a batch of fusion-exclusive droids that can only be obtained through specific crafting recipes.

Introduced during a special event that began on August 23, the Droid Fusion feature is designed to stay permanently in the game mode. Unlocked once players reach Rebirth 3, the mechanic allows them to select three droids to fuse together. Mixing three droids of the same rarity and quality yields a higher-tier droid. Alternatively, using three of the exact same droid results in a higher-tier version of that specific character, giving players an easier way to upgrade during their journey and reducing competition around the Sandcrawler.

According to details on the fusion system, there are 17 droids in Droid Tycoon that are exclusively obtainable through specific fusion recipes rather than appearing on the conveyor at the Sandcrawler or through standard rewards. The crafting process requires three designated droids, with the final quality determined by the lowest quality among the three components used. For example, combining two Rainbow Droids and a Diamond Droid will result in a Diamond Droid.
