Food Devils moves up release to November 3 to dodge Zelda remake
Studio Daimon's tactical RPG about cooking monsters shifts its launch two days earlier after Nintendo surprise-announced Ocarina of Time remake for the same date.

Food Devils, a tactical RPG inspired by Fire Emblem and Hades with a focus on culinary combat, is releasing sooner than planned. Studio Daimon originally set a November 5 launch but moved it to November 3 after Nintendo surprise-revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake would ship on the same day.
The game positions you as the last living chef in a post-apocalyptic world. Your role is to lure adventurers by cooking monsters into meals. Studio Daimon describes the core loop as "tactical combat where you literally cook your enemies," set across "ever-changing biomes full of tricky maps" where you scavenge ingredients.
Studio Daimon announced the original November 5 date on September 7. Nintendo revealed Ocarina of Time's November 5 launch the following day, prompting the swift reschedule. "WHOOPSIE we were just kidding, the game isn't releasing on Nov. 5th anymore, and definitely not because Zelda shadowdropped its release date right after we announced ours," the studio wrote on social media, announcing the November 3 shift with a playful tone.
The developer calls Food Devils an "indie spicy Fire Emblem," positioning it as a smaller-scale take on tactical RPG design. The premise draws parallels to the anime Delicious in Dungeon, which centers on cooking as a survival mechanic in a fantasy setting.
