Five Nights at Freddy's Comes to Fortnite on October 1 for Fortnitemares
Epic Games confirms the long-awaited FNAF crossover launches October 1, 2026, bringing Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria to Battle Royale with character skins, a dedicated game mode, and the ability to transform into animatronic bosses.

Five Nights at Freddy's is officially coming to Fortnite on October 1, 2026, as part of this year's Fortnitemares Halloween event. Epic Games announced the crossover through a social media trailer that confirms Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria will arrive in Battle Royale alongside teases of cosmetics based on Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy.
The collaboration includes four character skins representing the iconic animatronics, each with withered, battle-damaged alternate styles. Cosmetics bundles feature Freddy Kicks and backbling items, Chica and Bonnie backblings, different instrument cosmetics, and emotes. According to leaker HYPEX, the skins are likely reactive throughout gameplay, changing appearance based on in-game events.
A dedicated game mode is built around the Five Nights at Freddy's IP, where players attempt to survive a night shift at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria while facing animatronic animal bosses. The mode also allows players to transform into FNAF bosses and hunt other players, adding an asymmetrical gameplay element to the event.
Epic Games has not yet officially confirmed details about the dedicated game modes or all cosmetic items, though the crossover announcement is confirmed. The FNAF1 theme song by Living Tombstone is included in the event. This marks the long-awaited arrival of Five Nights at Freddy's content to Fortnite, following years of fan speculation about a potential collaboration.
