Five Nights at Freddy's Coming to Fortnite for Fortnitemares 2026

Epic Games has officially confirmed that Five Nights at Freddy's is joining Fortnite for the annual Fortnitemares event. Following months of rumors and teasers, a new trailer shows that Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria will appear as a location on the map. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy will all feature as bosses that players can fight.

"It's almost showtime!" Epic announced. "The Fazbear Band has taken over Battle Royale. Face the animatronic animal bosses and survive the night… if you can. Fortnitemares begins 1st October!"

The crossover had been expected for some time. The pizzeria itself previously appeared on the island during Fortnite's Override season, while recent Fortnitemares teasers hinted at security cameras and dialogue from Five Nights at Freddy's. Fortnitemares 2026 begins on October 1.

In unrelated recent legal news regarding Epic Games, the developer settled a court case over the summer against a contractor accused of leaking information. Former contractor Hayden Cohen agreed to a judgment that bars them from possessing, accessing, using, or disclosing confidential or trade secret information belonging to Epic.
