Aircraft & Avionics Update 06 is now live for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, upgrading five aircraft from German manufacturers with free updates for current owners.

The five planes receiving upgrades are the Junkers F 13 and Ju 52, plus the Dornier Do X, Do J Wal and Do 31. All have been moved to the native MSFS 2024 aircraft framework and modular aircraft system.

Each aircraft receives refinements to flight performance, control response and ground handling. Engine, fuel, electrical and cockpit systems were also updated where needed. Visual materials, textures and detailing have been revised, with assets and levels of detail optimised for MSFS 2024.

Specific improvements include improved radial-engine performance and tailwheel handling for the F 13, three-engine operation for the Ju 52, and twelve-engine operation and water handling for the Do X. The Do J Wal's push-pull engines and variants were refined, while the Do 31 gets adjustments to its lift engines, hover control, flight transition and stability. The Do X and Do J Wal receive improved water handling for taxiing, take-off and landing.

Existing owners of these aircraft receive the upgrade for free. Those who don't already own them can purchase each through the in-sim Marketplace for $14.99. Eligible configurations now support appropriate Career Mode activities.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available on Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, PC, PlayStation 5, PS VR2, Steam and supported devices through Xbox Cloud Gaming.
