Final Fantasy XIV is delaying the launch of Crucible of the Unbroken rankings to give the development team time to balance Beastmaster, the game's newest limited job.

According to an announcement on the official site, Square Enix has received substantial feedback on Beastmaster's combat balance and gameplay mechanics since its addition to the game. The team is using the delay to implement adjustments before the ranked season begins.

Limited jobs in Final Fantasy XIV operate under different design constraints than regular jobs since they don't compete directly in balance calculations against the full roster. However, the developers still need to ensure each limited job functions well on its own terms and doesn't create problematic gameplay scenarios.

No new launch date for Crucible of the Unbroken rankings has been announced yet. Players can expect further updates as development progresses.
