Fate/Extra Record Trailer Highlights Playable Servant Caster Ahead of 2027 Release

Publisher Aniplex and developers Meteorise and TYPE-MOON have released a new character trailer for Fate/Extra Record. This video highlights the third playable Servant, who belongs to the Caster class. With the previously revealed Saber and Archer trailers already published, this release wraps up the list of playable Servants that the protagonist can choose from at the beginning of a playthrough, unless the remake features additional surprise characters.

Caster is voiced by Chiwa Saito. She is described as a unique sorceress whose most prominent physical features are her fox ears and tail. While her personality can be snarky, she maintains strong loyalty toward her Master's orders. In combat and exploration, Caster possesses exceptional knowledge and excels at tactical operations.

Fate/Extra Record is a remake featuring spectacular visuals and a strategic battle system. The narrative centers on the Moon Holy Grail War, a deadly contest set inside SE.RA.PH, which is a vast digital world hidden on the moon. During the game, 128 Master and Servant pairs battle for the Holy Grail, an artifact capable of granting any wish.

Players take on the role of a Master, exploring dungeons within the digital world to strengthen their chosen Servant. Along the way, players encounter rival pairs, gather intelligence to uncover enemy True Names, and build decks for strategic command battles. The game combines fast-paced action with skill animations.

Fate/Extra Record is scheduled to launch worldwide on January 28, 2027. The game will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
