Sci-Fi RPG Exodus Set to Release in April 2027

Archetype Entertainment has announced that its upcoming sci-fi RPG Exodus will launch on April 7, 2027, alongside revealing new companion details.

Developer Archetype Entertainment and publisher Wizards of the Coast have officially announced the release date for their upcoming sci-fi RPG, Exodus. Revealed during a trailer at Gamescom, the title is scheduled to launch on April 7, 2027. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Archetype Entertainment, a studio boasting talent from BioWare, Naughty Dog, Halo Studios, and EA, used the Gamescom showcase to offer a closer look at the game's mechanics and companions. The trailer highlighted a companion named Salt, a mech-piloting octopus who serves as a sniper. Salt is capable of disorienting enemies with ink to cover the main character, Jun, on the battlefield.

Additionally, the trailer introduced Emrys, a companion belonging to the Deva—an enigmatic Celestial species defined by many consciousnesses. Emrys serves a combat support role by launching Remnant Orbs. These orbs drain and weaken opponents while transferring the stolen energy to Jun as protection.

Archetype also revealed that it is offering digital incentives based on wishlist milestones. Reaching 1 million wishlists will unlock unique cosmetic outfits for Jun, while hitting 1.5 million wishlists will unlock cosmetic options for the game's companions.
