Edge of Memories releases November 5 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S

NACON has announced that Edge of Memories will release on November 5, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The action RPG comes from Midgar Studio, which was liquidated by French courts in July, raising questions about post-launch support.

Edge of Memories is set on the continent of Avaris, a world ravaged by a deadly plague called the Corrosion that transforms humans and wildlife into monstrous creatures. Players control Elina, a Soul Whisperer with the power to heal those affected by the plague. After a mysterious encounter, Elina awakens the ability to control the Corrosion within her own body, which may hold the key to ending it entirely.

The game's art style mixes French animation with Japanese anime influences, creating a bright and colorful world. The story was written with Sawako Natori and explores themes of leaving home, living through plague, finding roots, and adapting to change. Combat is fast-paced and real-time, requiring players to master Elina's skills and chain attacks with her two companions. The game also features a powerful Berserk ability unique to Elina.

Built with Unreal Engine 5, Edge of Memories will be available in multiple editions. A digital Deluxe Edition includes 48 hours early access, a Nekaroo costume pack, a French History costume pack, a digital artbook, and a digital soundtrack. A physical edition adds a SteelBook case.

For PC, minimum requirements include an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X with 16GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, AMD Radeon RX 590, or Intel Arc A580, plus 22GB of free disk space. Recommended specs call for an Intel Core i5-12600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT, or Intel Arc B580.

Avaris is a new setting separate from the developer's previous title, Edge of Eternity. The nomadic people of Avaris had initially been spared from the Corrosion's effects but now stand on the brink of extinction.
