Eclipse Blade Demo Now Available on Steam, Offering First Look at Ninja Gaiden-Inspired Platformer
The indie platformer Eclipse Blade has released its first demo on Steam, letting players experience the game's prologue with a choice between blade-based combat or ninja arts gameplay styles.

Eclipse Blade, an indie platformer developed by TiNTz, has released its first demo on Steam as of September 7, 2026. The demo provides what the developer describes as "a first taste" of the full game, limited to the prologue content.
Players begin by selecting one of two gameplay specializations: blade-based combat or ninja arts. The demo then places them in a city environment where they navigate rooftops, abandoned building interiors, and rat-filled sewers. Gameplay involves jumping, climbing, slashing, and combat against various enemies including bats, dogs, and patrolling guards, with the goal of reaching a Yari-wielding spectre at the prologue's end.
Eclipse Blade draws inspiration from classic 1990s ninja-action games, particularly the original NES Ninja Gaiden. The game features hand-crafted pixel art, parkour mechanics including wall climbing and bar traversal, and ninja-themed weapons and abilities such as shuriken, kunai, and sword and fire-based arts. The narrative follows a chosen ninja who must enter the Eclipse Gate with katana and ninja skills to fight through an ancient evil army and destroy the darkness at its source, after an eclipse has opened the gate and unleashed ancient evil soldiers into the human world.
According to the Steam page, the project aims to pay tribute to classic ninja games from the 1990s while delivering "the pure thrill of classic action in a fresh new way." The game will include optional hardcore and speedrun modes for players seeking additional challenge. As of the demo release, no full release date has been announced, though a Steam page is live for wishlisting.
