Echoes of Mora VR launched today on Steam, bringing a story-driven underwater puzzle experience to PC. The game was originally planned for an April release but was delayed while developer Selkies Interactive negotiated with a potential publisher. According to a developer post on Steam, that publishing deal "came and went."

The game follows Mora through a flooded Italian village as she investigates the disappearance of her brother. Players explore the submerged landscape and use portals to glimpse the village before it was underwater. The experience runs between 2-3 hours and emphasizes exploration without fail states, combat, or time pressure.

Selkies Interactive, a team of three German master's students, designed the game as a gentle narrative experience. Player choices affect the story outcome, with two different endings possible based on a major decision at the conclusion. Some scenes can also play out in different orders depending on dialogue choices throughout the game.

Steam offers two versions of the title. The cheaper flatscreen-only version costs $14.99, while the VR-compatible edition is priced at $17.99 and supports both VR headsets and traditional monitor play. A VR-supported demo is available on Steam.
