Colossal, Game-Changing Dragon's Dogma 2 Patch 3.2 Out Now on PS5
Capcom has released major Title Update 3.2 for Dragon's Dogma 2, bringing an expansive 48GB patch loaded with system optimization, save system overhauls, and numerous gameplay adjustments ahead of the Dark Arisen expansion.
Capcom has released a massive title update for Dragon's Dogma 2 across all platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Dubbed Patch 3.2, the update arrives with a file size of 48GB on PS5, serving as what is described as the game's biggest ever update ahead of the upcoming Dark Arisen expansion launching on October 9.
The extensive patch introduces sweeping adjustments across multiple facets of gameplay, including optimization, performance improvements, and system requirement modifications aimed at addressing previous frame rate issues in the open-world RPG. Among the most notable updates is an overhauled save system. Players can now expand adventure data save slots for each Arisen from one to three, with each slot holding three distinct types of saved data: Autosave, Interim Save, and Last Inn Rest Save. Furthermore, loading from the last inn rest will no longer delete autosaves or interim saves, and the date and time of the last save will now be displayed on the screen.
Quality-of-life adjustments span the entire user interface and core mechanics. Players can now utilize equipment filters, check required materials for future enhancement steps, favorite specific pieces of equipment, and prevent campsite meat items from being consumed via item shortcuts. The maximum amount of an item given to a pawn upon dismissal has been increased to 99, and the Adventure Logbook now tracks the number of times the Eternal Ferrystone was used. Additionally, players can skip the opening story sequence when replaying the game.
Combat and vocation adjustments also feature prominently in Patch 3.2. The number of assignable weapon skills has expanded from four to six. Characters are now less likely to flinch repeatedly after being attacked, get up immediately when attacked while downed, and experience instantaneous stamina recovery effects when using items while exhausted. Various vocations have received fine-tuning, such as the Fighter's Deflect behavior against ranged attacks, increased damage for the Archer's Dire Arrow, and the addition of the Magick Barrier core skill for Mages and Sorcerers. Pawn behaviors have likewise been enhanced to offer better support, combat engagement, and traversal assistance.
