Double Fine Reportedly Bringing Lighthouse Game Keeper to PS5

A Trophy list leak and insider reports suggest Double Fine is planning to release its lesser-known title Keeper on PlayStation 5.

Double Fine, the development studio behind acclaimed titles such as Psychonauts and Brutal Legend, is reportedly preparing to bring its lesser-known Xbox and PC game, Keeper, to the PlayStation 5. The game, which casts players in the role of a lighthouse, appears set for an imminent release on Sony's console.

According to a report from Push Square, a new set of PlayStation Trophies for Keeper recently went live on the tracking website Exophase. Additionally, industry insider NateTheHate2 has indicated that the PlayStation 5 port of the game is scheduled to be officially announced during an upcoming State of Play livestream. Since the Trophy list has already appeared online, industry onlookers expect the title could launch as early as the day of the announcement or within the next few weeks.

Because Double Fine retained the rights to its intellectual properties and games when it regained its independence, the developer does not require Microsoft's permission or backing to publish a PlayStation 5 port of Keeper. A formal confirmation is anticipated to follow soon during PlayStation's broadcast event.
