Outerloop Games has rolled out the Family Dinner Update for Dosa Divas, marking the studio's first major patch for the award-winning cooking sim. While the game launched across multiple platforms, this update is currently limited to Steam.

The patch addresses core gameplay systems that players interact with constantly. Fulfilling NPC orders now grants 60% more town affinity points, making it faster to increase your town rank and unlock rewards. The update also introduces more recurring villagers with new dialogue and unique speech bubbles, plus personal order notes that add depth to resident interactions.

Cooking minigames have received significant quality-of-life improvements. Ingredient auto-fill has been disabled for villager orders, giving players more control over what they use. The ingredient selection menu now sorts items by flavor profile for easier browsing. The minigames themselves feature updated UI elements and camera angles to reduce repetition.

Exploration and pacing improvements extend throughout the game's islands. Alternate ingredient pickup methods have been added to Canopea and Port Zest, and scrap caches now appear around the village for Buroth. Port Zest's second visit has been restructured to flow better, with the "Impress Mom's assistant" objective now providing some required ingredients directly. During this quest, Kabi can be found at the tower's base to cut down backtracking.

Additional changes include updated upgrade graph icons with character portraits, improved Port Zest tower traversal, and community area staging improvements in Canopea. The team also squashed two softlocks, one caused by falling through map screens and another from getting caught behind fences in Port Zest.

Dosa Divas currently holds a 96% Very Positive rating on Steam. The game is available at its biggest discount yet, 30% off. The Family Dinner Update is available now on Steam, with console versions still pending the patch.
